MILWAUKEE – Attorney Kathy Nusslock joins Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, former Attorney General Benjamin Civiletti, and other distinguished leaders as a winner of the Brennan Award from the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia School of Law. In receiving this award, she also joins other distinguished honorees including, the Hon. Barbara J. Rothstein, Peter Neufeld (co-founder of the Innocence Project), David Boies, Judah Best, James Brosnahan, Kenneth R. Feinberg, and Ted Wells.

The Brennan Award was instituted by the College in 1987 in honor of Justice William J. Brennan, Jr. to recognize outstanding contributions to the enhancement of trial advocacy skills and the legal profession.“Every January, Kathy gives of her time to help less-experienced attorneys become more knowledgeable about trial advocacy. We¹re so pleased that the College has chosen to honor her contributions in this way,” stated Ann M. Rieger, President of Davis & Kuelthau. Nusslock has participated as a member of the faculty of the College for many years.

Nusslock was recently named by Wisconsin Super Lawyers® magazine as one of the top attorneys in Wisconsin for 2009 and one of the top 25 female attorneys in Wisconsin for 2009. She has been honored with this recognition for the past several years.
