Davis & Kuelthau Expands Corporate and Litigation Practice in Metro-Milwaukee and Greater Fox Valley Region

MILWAUKEE— Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. is pleased to announce attorneys Timothy J. Feldhausen, Benjamin A. Sauer, and Ryan M. Spott have joined the firm’s Corporate and Litigation Teams.

Timothy Feldhausen has joined the firm as a senior attorney on our Corporate Team in Green Bay. He offers more than 15 years of experience representing privately-held manufacturing, technology, and sales and service businesses. Tim’s areas of counsel include asset and stock purchase transactions, business formation, commercial finance, corporate governance, franchising and dealership issues, licensing, mergers and acquisitions, and structuring and negotiation of shareholder and operating agreements.

Prior to joining Davis & Kuelthau, Tim practiced with a fellow top 10 Wisconsin law firm for six years, ran a boutique firm for four years and also practiced in Washington, D.C. and in Maryland at a Am Law 100 firm. During his eight years of Navy service, he managed shipboard engineering and seamanship systems and led 200+ Navy personnel during sea deployments on two major combat vessels.

Tim currently serves on the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Board of Directors for the Business Law section, and is an active member of the Brown County Association, Wisconsin State Bar, Maryland State Bar and District of Columbia Bar. Tim earned his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School, his M.A. Degree in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College and B.S. Degree in History with a Minor in Russian Language from the United States Naval Academy.

Benjamin Sauer has joined the firm’s Corporate Team as an Illinois-licensed associate based in our Milwaukee office. Ben offers five years of experience assisting clients with a variety of business needs including purchase and sale agreements, commercial financing instruments, and governance documents, such as operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and partnership agreements. Prior to joining Davis & Kuelthau, Ben practiced on the corporate team of an international, Am Law 100 firm in Chicago and later served as the principal attorney of a small business law firm.

Ben’s professional activities include the American Bar Association where he is a member of the Business Law Section and the Chicago Bar Association where he is a member of the Business Law Committee, and LGBT Committee. Ben earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, and his B.A., in Political Science and Government from Monmouth College.

Prior to joining the legal industry, Ben worked in China teaching an average of 16 sophomore and junior level English and Comparative Politics classes per week. More recently, in Chicago, he has taught small business owners about the recently introduced Illinois Crowdfunding Act.

Ryan Spott, a 2015 law clerk for Davis & Kuelthau, has joined the firm as associate in our Milwaukee office. In the area of litigation, Ryan will focus his practice on appellate, commercial, employment and municipal matters. In the area of corporate law, Ryan will focus on real estate transactions. A May 2016 graduate of Marquette University Law School, Ryan is an active member of the Western District of Wisconsin Court and Wisconsin State Bar Association. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012. Beyond the office, Ryan serves as a U10 baseball coach for the North Shore Baseball Academy, Inc.
