Attorney Anthony Steffek Named Co-Chair of Davis|Kuelthau’s Labor and Employment Team

GREEN BAY, MILWAUKEE, WI – Davis|Kuelthau, s.c. has selected attorney Anthony (Tony) J. Steffek to serve as the firm’s Labor and Employment Team Co-Chair.  As co-chairs, Tony and James M. Kalny are tasked with overseeing a team of seven attorneys dedicated to providing clients with a complete spectrum of labor and employment services.

Tony proactively assists employers, both big and small, in wading through the various HR-related issues that arise in today’s employment world. Tony helps with issues such as hiring/firing, noncompetition agreements and other restrictive covenants, disability and ADA issues, FMLA and other leave matters, employee handbook review and revision, sensitive personnel matters and investigations, OSHA compliance, wage and hour issues, and labor negotiations. He also provides public entities and schools, both primary/secondary and post-secondary, with advice and counsel on issues specific to those clients. Tony earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Tony currently serves in several philanthropic roles including volunteer service for the Miracle League of Green Bay, service on the Board of Directors for Cerebral Palsy, Inc., and service as Vice President for the Ashwaubenon Fun in the Sun Camp. Tony formerly served as President for Group Purchasing, Inc. for the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and as a Steering Committee Member for the Greater Green Bay Chamber’s Current Young Professionals Network.

Jim has over 40 years of experience assisting clients in collective bargaining issues and employment law matters. Jim’s background as an HR director gives him unique, practical insight in personnel issues from drafting policies to conducting investigations to reorganization studies and strategies. He has considerable experience successfully representing public and private sector employers in employment discrimination and wage matters.  Jim earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School and B.A. from Carthage College.
