
MILWAUKEE, WI – The Wisconsin law firm of Davis|Kuelthau, s.c. is pleased to announce litigation attorney, Elizabeth (Liz) K. Miles has been elected President of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association (EDWBA).
The Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association is dedicated to improving the practice of attorneys appearing before the Eastern District. The Association provides CLE programs focused on federal and local practice issues, networking opportunities with Association members, Judges, and Magistrates of the Eastern District, information about matters of interest in the Eastern District, and pro bono representation opportunities. As the Eastern District is the highest local Federal court in Wisconsin, it is an honor to have one of D|K’s own leading its Bar Association.
Liz began her leadership role with EDWBA in 2011, becoming an active member of the Newsletter Committee. In 2012, Liz started her 5-year role as Co-Chair of the Newsletter Committee. Liz went on to be elected to the Board of Directors in 2014. In 2017, Liz was elected as Treasurer (2017 – 2019) and was then elected Vice President in 2019 (2019 – 2020). Since July of 2020, Liz has served as President-Elect. Her term as President will begin on July 1, 2021.
Liz Miles is a member of Davis|Kuelthau’s litigation team and counsels individuals, businesses, and public sector clients across Wisconsin in a wide range of complex business disputes, including breach of contract and warranty, lender liability, unfair business practices, and insurance coverage. Construction and environmental litigation are her primary focus. Liz is a member of the Federation of Environmental Technologists. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, from Duquesne University, her M.A. from Boston College, and her J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School. In 2012, Liz earned recognition as a Up and Coming Lawyer by the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Liz joins the ranks of a select few D|K attorneys who have served as President of EDWBA. Current and prior colleagues include but are not limited to Kathy Nusslock (EDWBA President, 2008 – 2009) and Bill Mulligan (EDWBA President, 2003 – 2004).
