MILWAUKEE – Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. is proud to announce Matthew R. McClean as chair of the firm’s Litigation Team. Matt succeeds Kathy L. Nusslock who led the practice for six years.
Matt has been a member of the firm’s Milwaukee office and Litigation Team since 2006. He focuses his practice in the area of construction litigation and also represents clients in all aspects of litigation over commercial contracts, real property claims, and intellectual property matters. Matt’s primary client base includes small to mid-size businesses, construction companies, and municipalities. He also works with individuals who have contract, construction and high-fee disputes.
As a talented leader in his field, Matt has served on the board of the State Bar’s Construction and Public Contracting Section for the Wisconsin State Bar since 2009 and was the Chairman of the Section from 2012-2013. His accomplishments in the legal industry proudly include recognition by Best Lawyers® in America – Construction Law, Litigation-Construction (2013-2015), M Magazine, Leading Lawyers (2014), Wisconsin Super Lawyers®, Rising Star (2007-2012), and Wisconsin Super Lawyers® (2013).
Kathy has been a member of the firm’s Milwaukee office and Litigation Team since 1998. In July of 2014, she was appointed as the firm’s Chief Operating officer. Kathy has served in a variety of other firm management roles including Employment Litigation Practice Chair, Director on the firm’s Board, member of the Shareholder Development Committee, and Pro Bono Coordinator. Kathy’s dedication to professional development is further illustrated through her 18 years of service as an invited faculty member of the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia Law School.
As a trial attorney, Kathy’s dedication to the legal industry has not gone unnoticed. She has been proudly ranked among Wisconsin’s Super Lawyers® since 2005, honored among the Top 25 Women Attorneys in Wisconsin by Super Lawyers® for five terms, and recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal among their 2013 Women in the Law.
