Biography

Allen Salomon, a shareholder in the firm, concentrates his practice in the areas of business law and estate planning. Allen represents clients both locally and nationally in a broad range of this practice including estate plan development and implementation, gift and estate tax advice, probate and trust administration, business acquisition, formation and succession planning and representation in general corporate and real estate matters. He also serves on the board of directors of, or as an advisor to, many business and non-profit organizations.

Notable Representations

Estate Planning Allen's estate planning practice includes preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, life insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, charitable foundations, marital property agreements and financial and health care powers of attorney; and probate and trust administration. As part of this practice, Allen advises clients on estate, gift and income tax minimization and strategies, and he currently serves as trustee of a number of trusts.

Real Estate Allen represents owners of substantial commercial, industrial and residential real estate holdings, representing and advising them on a variety of legal matters, from preparation and review of leases and landlord/tenant issues to the purchase, sale and financing of properties. As a compliment to this practice, Allen reviews and advises tenant clients on similar issues.

Business Allen advises businesses and their owners on business formation, governance, sales and acquisitions and succession planning. In this practice he prepares stock purchase agreements, LLC operating agreements, partnership agreements, employment contracts, deferred compensation plans and non-compete and confidentiality agreements. The types of businesses Allen advises include manufacturers with local, multistate and international operations and service providers including accountants, physicians, dentists, and advertising and marketing agencies.
