Biography
Emily is a member of Davis|Kuelthau’s Litigation Team in the Milwaukee office. She provides guidance on a variety of commercial litigation matters including real estate disputes, trust and estates disputes, contract disputes, and healthcare litigation.
Emily graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she served as Senior Business Editor of the Wisconsin International Law Journal, competed on the mock trial team, and was a member of the Women’s Law Student Association. While in law school, she gained experience as a summer associate at Davis|Kuelthau as well as participated in the City of Chicago Affirmative Litigation Division’s summer program. In addition, Emily spent a year working for the Wisconsin Innocence Project assisting wrongfully convicted clients in their pursuit of conviction reversal where she performed legal research, drafted motions and appellate briefs in pursuit of exoneration, investigated innocence claims through client and witness interviews, developed litigation strategy from investigation to re-trial, and assisted with hearing preparation through participation in moot oral arguments.
Prior to law school, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Emily built a public relations career telling the stories of both public and private sector clients in the healthcare, food and beverage, agriculture, and gaming industries. She now leverages her communications experience in her legal advocacy.
