
MILWAUKEE, WI – Davis|Kuelthau, s.c. has selected Lawrence (Larry) J. Glusman and Julie A. Seno to serve as the firm’s next Commercial Finance Practice Team Co-Chairs. Larry and Julie succeed Thomas V. Rohan, Corporate and Commercial Finance Attorney, who led the team for several years and continues to serve D|K’s business and education clients. As co-chairs, Lawrence and Julie are tasked with overseeing a team of 15 attorneys dedicated to providing valuable counsel throughout the commercial finance process by facilitating the orderly completion of transactions while at the same time mitigating our clients’ risks.
Larry Glusman is a Shareholder and serves on the Commercial Finance, Corporate, and Real Estate Teams. Larry has represented small – midsized entities with their commercial lending, real estate, and business transactions for 25 years. He has represented the Milwaukee Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) for more than two decades in documenting and closing hundreds of MEDC loans to a wide array of local businesses. His practice also includes creditors’ rights in litigation, foreclosure, and various insolvency proceedings. Additionally, Larry represents established and start-up businesses with real estate and asset purchase transactions and other financing, leasing, development, and corporate matters. His commitment to helping small businesses thrive comes from his family’s legacy of owning and operating small businesses. His experience growing up around entrepreneurs and working for a family retail business gave him the tools needed to know how to respond and best serve his clients as an attorney.
Larry earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A. in Public Policy Studies from Duke University. As an attorney closely in tune to the needs of his clients, Larry has been recognized in the 2021 edition of Best Lawyers in America for Corporate and Real Estate law. In 2018, he also earned the Small Business Legal Assistance Award from the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Julie Seno is a Shareholder and serves on the Commercial Finance, Corporate, and Real Estate Teams. Since joining D|K, Julie not only has successfully expanded her practice but also supports key partners and effectively mentors corporate associates in the firm. Julie has advised financial institutions and corporate borrowers in documenting, negotiating and closing commercial real estate financing transactions, and real estate owners, investors developers in all facets of commercial real estate for more than 17 years. She offers extensive experience with credit facilities, including single lender and syndicated commercial loans, real estate (including HUD) loans, multistate real estate portfolio loans, asset-based financings, construction loans, and interest rate swap transactions. In addition, Julie’s practice includes real estate acquisitions and divestitures, development and leasing of commercial properties, including healthcare, retail, office, multifamily and industrial. She has extensive experience negotiating contracts, leases, easements, and other real estate documents with national retail tenants, healthcare providers, and owners of commercial property.
Julie earned her J.D. from Marquette University Law School and received her B.A. in Business Administration, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Her professional activities include serving as a member of D|K’s loan opinions committee, TEMPO Waukesha, the Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin (CARW), and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
