August 12, 2016

The Wisconsin law firm of Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. today announced Joseph E. Tierney, IV, corporate and real estate attorney, will take the helm as the firm’s next president as of October 1, 2016. This transition is one of several steps the firm is making to remain at the forefront of the next generation of progressive, dynamic legal service workplaces.

“Joe was selected as our next president for many reasons, including his forward-thinking approach, understanding of the changing legal landscape, and his 10 years of service as a transactional attorney with our firm,” said Kathy Nusslock, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and current President. “Joe is an exceptional choice. He’s personable, business-centric, and attuned to the evolving needs of our clients as well as the attorneys who serve them. With his collaborative nature and dedication to the community, Joe will lead the firm into the next era of legal services.”

Earlier this year, Tierney was elected to serve as the firm’s Corporate Team Chair. Previously, he served three years as the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group Chair. In addition to his firm leadership, Tierney maintains an active business transactions practice. A former tax consultant for one of the nation’s top accounting firms and a local, fourth generation attorney, Tierney offers a distinguished pedigree of business acumen and community ties.

“We greatly appreciate Kathy’s leadership as president and in her continuing role as Chief Operating Officer. Kathy’s dedication to our clients, attorneys and staff is constant and unwavering,” said Tierney. “The legal landscape is changing at a faster pace than ever before. As one of the larger Wisconsin law firms, we embrace the opportunity to evolve with our clients into this new era of mobility, collaboration and efficiency. As president, I look forward to working with Kathy, our Board of Directors, and our client service team to ensure that we remain at the forefront of the legal industry.
