Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. Announces Kathy Nusslock As the Firm’s Next Chief Operating Officer

MILWAUKEE — Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. has proudly announced that it will appoint Shareholder Kathy L. Nusslock the firm’s next Chief Operating Officer. Kathy will work in conjunction with the Board of Directors and will be responsible for overall management of the firm’s operations, including human resources, facilities management, and oversight of accounting/finance, information technology, and marketing/business development.

Kathy joined the firm’s Litigation Team in 1998 and since then served in a variety of firm management roles including Litigation Team Head, Employment Litigation Practice Chair, Director on the firm’s Board, member of the Shareholder Development Committee, and Pro Bono Coordinator. Kathy consistently strives to mentor the firm’s young professionals. Kathy’s dedication to professional development is further illustrated through her 18 years of service as an invited faculty member of the National Trial Advocacy College at the University of Virginia Law School.

As a talented leader and successful trial attorney, Kathy’s dedication to the legal industry has not gone unnoticed. She has been proudly ranked among Wisconsin’s Super Lawyers® since 2005, honored among the Top 25 Women Attorneys in Wisconsin, by Super Lawyers®, for five terms, and recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal among their 2013 Women in the Law. In 2010, Kathy joined Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, former Attorney General Benjamin Civiletti, and other distinguished leaders as an honored recipient of the Brennan Award from the National Trial Advocacy College.

Beyond her well-respected service as a trial attorney, Kathy is equally devoted to the Milwaukee community. She has coordinated numerous firm charitable initiatives including volunteer efforts at the Hunger Task Force, has served as a board member of the Next Act Theatre since 2004 and has served on the board of the Dorothy Inbusch Foundation for five years.
