Davis|Kuelthau Announces Three New Shareholders

MILWAUKEE – Davis|Kuelthau, s.c. is pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has approved the additions of Jacqueline L. MesslerMichael Van Someren, and Ryan M. Wiesner to shareholders of the firm, effective October 1, 2020.

Jacqueline (Jackie) L. Messler’s (Brookfield) practice includes estate planning, business succession planning, marital property agreements, guardianships, probate, and trust administration. Jacqueline regularly advises clients, particularly high net worth individuals, on all aspects of estate planning, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, irrevocable life insurance trusts, and generation-skipping transfer trusts. Jacqueline has worked with many clients in blended families. She has also assisted clients in special needs planning, including creating trusts under WisPact and Life Navigators. Jacqueline earned her B.A., magna cum laude, from Carroll University, and her J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School. She has also been listed as a Best Lawyer for two consecutive years for Trusts and Estates.

Michael (Mike) Van Someren (Milwaukee) counsels clients in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including providing advice on entity selection and formation, drafting purchase and sale agreements, offers to purchase, performing due diligence, and negotiating and drafting agreements with municipalities and other stakeholders. Michael earned his B.A., from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and his J.D., cum laude, from Marquette University Law School. He serves on the Programming Committee of NAIOP – a leading national real estate industry association. In 2018, he was recognized as a Developing Leader All Star by NAIOP and was also the recipient of the 2019 Up and Coming Lawyer award by the Wisconsin Law Journal.

Ryan M. Wiesner (Milwaukee) has been regularly recruited to assist in handling high-exposure and complex disputes, due to his pragmatic approach, ability to simplify complex issues and develop case theories that put his clients in the best position to win. Ryan’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, commercial and business litigation, professional and governmental liability, and civil rights disputes and product liability litigation. Ryan earned his B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and his J.D., cum laude, Marquette University Law School. He has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for three consecutive years and was most recently recognized as a “One to Watch” by Best Lawyers for Commercial Litigation.
