Davis|Kuelthau Expands Corporate and Litigation Teams with Attorneys John D’Jock and Emily Behn

MILWAUKEE, WI — Davis|Kuelthau, s.c. is pleased to announce the expansion of its Corporate Team with the addition of Associate Attorney John D’Jock and its Commercial Litigation Team with the addition of Associate Attorney Emily Behn.

John first worked at Davis|Kuelthau as part of the firm’s 2021 Summer Associate internship class while he finished his law degree.  His practice focuses on business transactions, real estate transactions, and commercial lending.  Specifically, John works with businesses and owners in matters of entity selection and formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial and residential real estate transactions, and land use and zoning.

John graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School.  While in law school he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Rebecca F. Dallet of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. John was also a mentor in the Marquette Law Mentorship Program, where he helped first-year law students adjust to law school.  John’s recognitions include the CALI Excellence for the Future Award: Antitrust Law (2021) and Creditor-Debtor Law (2020).  Before law school, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, University of St. Thomas.

Emily also first worked at Davis|Kuelthau as part of the firm’s 2021 Summer Associate internship class.  She provides guidance on a variety of commercial litigation matters including real estate disputes, trust and estates disputes, contract disputes, and healthcare litigation.

In her spare time, Emily is an active Project Assistant with the Wisconsin Innocence Project where she conducts legal research, drafts motions and appellate briefs in pursuit of exoneration, investigates innocence claims through client and witness interviews, develops litigation strategy from investigation to re-trial, and assists with hearing preparation through participation in moot oral arguments.  Prior to D|K, Emily spent time at the City of Chicago Department of Law where she served as a Law Clerk.

Emily graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she served as an Associate Business Editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal and was active in Mock Trial.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri and upon graduation worked summers in public relations roles with Camelot Illinois and the Institute of Food Technologists.

D|K’s  Commercial Litigation Team has successfully handled hundreds of cases in front of juries, judges, arbitrators, mediators, and administrative tribunals at all levels of the court system from administrative level to the circuit court through appeals and supreme courts in numerous jurisdictions in local, state, federal, and international venues.  We serve a wide range of clients including closely-held businesses, multi-national corporations, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, other professionals, and non-profit organizations.
