Davis|Kuelthau’s 32nd Annual School Law Seminar: Managing the Use of CBD Oil in Schools — Legally

January 22, 2020

Davis|Kuelthau will be hosting its 32nd Annual School Law Seminar on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in the VUE at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.

The use of cannabidiol (CBD) oil is on the rise and many school district administrators have expressed concern as to how best to manage this substance. What is it? Is it legal? What are schools required to accommodate and how?

Join Stacy Peterson, President & CEO, and Sonja Hintz, RN and Health Educator, from Connoils, LLC — a leading international supplement maker and distributor of bulk oil ingredients — and Davis|Kuelthau school law attorneys, Bob Burns, Tony Steffek and Abby Busler for key insights on this trending substance.

Panelists will address the many misconceptions about CBD oil, clarify crucial distinctions between related THC products, address the legality of CBD from a federal and state perspective, explore the rise of requests among staff and students for oil use in schools, and inform school district leaders on best practices for accommodation. Speakers will also highlight current employment laws related to the use of CBD oil and potential areas for District policy review.

Davis|Kuelthau’s School Law Seminar is held in conjunction with the WASB/WASDA/WASBO Education ConventionVisit us during the Convention at Booth 601.
