In Memoriam: Robert W. Muren

Our colleague and friend of more than 14 years passed peacefully on March 27, 2017 after a long battle with Leukemia. Bob Muren was a first class person. All of us at Davis & Kuelthau feel fortunate to have had the privilege of working with him on our team for many years.

As a respected health law attorney, Bob dedicated his life to the legal profession, the medical industry, and the clients he so proudly served. He represented numerous hospital-based physicians as well as dentists and other medical practitioners. Experienced in many facets of business and medical practice, Bob worked closely with his clients on such matters as drafting employment contracts, reviewing restrictive covenant provisions, forming limited liability companies to facilitate the operation of ambulatory surgery centers, as well as joint ventures with hospitals.

Beyond his health law practice, Bob served many small business owners on a variety of corporate, real estate and succession planning needs. He also represented individuals on trusts and estates matters. Prior to joining Davis & Kuelthau, Bob co-founded the law firm Niebler & Muren, S.C.

As a dedicated member of the Waukesha community, Bob served in leadership capacities on more than 10 area foundation boards, youth athletic programs, business boards, and golf associations. He was instrumental in forming Sunset Bank & Savings and served on its board of directors. Bob was the founder and co-chairman of Marquette University’s M-Club Golf Outing for 17 years. Bob established many close friendships in all walks of life.

Most importantly, Bob was a dedicated family man. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Bob will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at All Saints Lutheran Church in Wales, WI, from 10:00 AM until the Memorial Service at 12:00 PM.
