Litigation Attorney Sherry Coley Honored with 2019 Joyce Bytof Exceptional Mentor Award by Fox Cities Chamber

GREEN BAY, WI – Davis|Kuelthau, s.c. is proud to announce Commercial Litigation Attorney Sherry Coley will receive a 2019 Pinnacle Award from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce on November 21, 2019.  The Pinnacle Awards acknowledge individuals who have demonstrated leadership, and have effectively balanced workplace values while achieving excellence. Of the signature awards given, Sherry will receive the Joyce Bytof Exceptional Mentor Award which recognizes an individual “who is proactive in the advancement of others by sharing time, talent and business experience for the purposes of promoting growth and opportunity in the Fox Cities community”.

Sherry currently serves in several professional and community roles including the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation,  Building for Kids Children’s Museum, Phoenix Fund, State Bar of Wisconsin’s Board of Governors and NEW Manufacturing Alliance.  She is also a member of various professional organizations including member and Secretary for the Wisconsin State Bar as well as member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, Eastern District of Wisconsin Bar Association, Brown County Women Lawyers, Brown County Bar Association and Brown County Young Lawyers Association.

As a commercial litigation attorney, Sherry has earned significant trial experience in both state and federal courts and jury trial representing clients in appeals pending in the state appellate courts of Wisconsin and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.  In the area of product liability, she has represented manufacturers in actions involving personal injury, wrongful death and property damage.  Additionally, she has represented financial institutions in state and federal court on a variety of commercial lending disputes, including defense of counterclaims raised in response to foreclosure or deficiency actions, and disputes arising from insolvent borrowers, including proceedings in bankruptcy court.  Sherry earned her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School, and her Bachelor’s degree from Drake University, magna cum laude with honors.
