MILWAUKEE — Davis & Kuelthau, s.c. today announced that Kathy L. Nusslock, Chief Operating Officer and Firm President, and Litigation attorneys Sherry D. Coley and Nelson Phillips, III were selected as a Fellows of the Wisconsin Law Foundation. This honor recognizes outstanding career achievement, community involvement and efforts to advance the legal profession. Fellows membership is limited to 2.5% of the State Bar’s total members.
Kathy works in conjunction with the Board of Directors and is responsible for overall management of the firm’s operations, including human resources, facilities management, and oversight of accounting/finance, information technology, and marketing/business development. She has been proudly ranked among Wisconsin’s Super Lawyers® since 2005, honored among the Top 25 Women Attorneys in Wisconsin, by Super Lawyers®, for five terms, and recognized by the Wisconsin Law Journal among their 2013 Women in the Law.
Kathy earned her Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude from Marquette University Law School and her Letters and Science Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
Sherry has earned significant trial experience in both state and federal courts and jury trial representing clients in appeals pending in the state appellate courts of Wisconsin and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. In the area of product liability, she has represented manufacturers in actions involving personal injury, wrongful death and property damage. Since 2009, she has been selected as a “Wisconsin Rising Star” by Super Lawyers® Magazine recognizing her success in serving clients.
Sherry earned her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University Law School, and her Bachelor’s degree from Drake University, magna cum laude with honors.
Nelson has represented primarily commercial and health care clients in a variety of matters including contract disputes, white collar investigations, intellectual property claims and defense of skilled nursing care facilities. Nelson has recently settled matters for his clients involving allegations of a costly breach of contract and a state agency investigation of his clients’ company.
Attorney Phillips received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School and his B.A. in English Literature from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor.
